Wild Whistler

We've just come back from a fantastic few days camping in the Mountain resort of Whistler. Lots of stunning scenery and great walks.

Fortunately we didn't have to walk up the mountains but could take advantage of the extensive cable car and chairlift infrastructure. Zoe was just tall enough to go on all the chair-lifts which she was very happy about!

Our camping was much more successful weatherwise and we had the added excitement of seeing our first wild bear - just 40 meters from our tent.

Luckily it soon headed into the woods so we didn't have to make the terrifying fight or flight decision!

Suddenly hanging our food in bear nets from the trees seems very worthwhile.
